Micros Fidelio’s Suite 8 Leisure Module
Our client had a number of key requirements they wanted there chosen solution to deliver. Some of these are detailed below:
- The ability to book appointments and treatments easily and as quickly as possible.
- Allow the hotel reception to also book appointments for the Spa enabling the hotel to up sell as guest made bookings over the telephone but also as they checked in to the hotel.
- Print basic reports to show treatment statistics, for example number of treatments, most popular treatment, therapist activity and daily therapist schedule.
- Ability to sell beauty products and record sales.
Our client has had the Suite 8 Spa Module installed now for almost 12 months and unfortunately have not used the product for the majority of this time due to the following issues.
- In order to create an appointment the you first have to check availability within the Spa module after which you have to exit the Spa module to then create a profile within the main Suite 8 product – This proves to be an extremely time consuming process.
- If you wish to book more than one treatment for the same client / profile you are unable to do this and have to create two profiles.
- Should you have a guest who wishes to book a number of treatments for both themselves and others a profile has to be created for each individual guest/client.
- No reports are available.
- If you have a resource which can be available in multiple treatments but which only makes up part of a treatment multiple treatments cannot be booked at the same time which also use the resource.
- Having created and built the treatment packages the user/operator cannot see what is included in a package and therefore has to refer to written documentation.
As you can see from the above basic key fundamental aspects of the system are not present and cannot be preformed. We are still awaiting for a resolution to these issues. I shall provide an updates as and when these issues are addressed.
